That looks like a photo from a period film. Amazing.

Thanks! Several people have asked if I was on the set of a film. The photo is what was on the viewscreen of the back of a digital SLR camera, so the black box around the edge really adds to the filmlike quality.

That is a passionflower - Passiflora sp. Aren't they great? If you were anywhere else, I would say P. incarnata (the Southeastern native one) without hesitation but a lot of tropical species end up in that garden during the summer, so it might be another tropical species I am not as familiar with, like P. quandragularis that looks very similar.

I used to spend a lot of time in the little nook of a garden alongside the Arts and Industries building, reading labels and taking notes. I learned a lot of tropical and semi-tropical plants like narajilla and brugmansia that way.
