PC problems

Hi there!
I had a problem with my computer and had to replace it. Now, I wait to see if my files are going to be saved. Or I would have to start re writing them. Until then, I'll write something new & fresh.

Hope all of you, my friends, are alright and productive.

Oh, do you not have backups? You should always have backups. Hope you get everything back. I keep all my saved fan fiction(none of it written by me)and other, less important, stuff on Dropbox and two computers. Cause it would kill me to lose it all. I also have a paid backup, because I am paranoid, I guess. LOL

Well, when I got my pc i had to give about 500 euros so at the time i couldn't afford more. And then I just forgot. You seem so safe, until you aren't. But I will probably need to do something about that.

I keep back up of my original writing, and have everything in handwritten notes, but when it comes to retype i'm overly lazy (and in typing as well).

There are a lot of free backup programs out there, and there is always the cloud. I would not put my only copies of something in the cloud, but as a backup, it should work fine.

I really hope your files can be saved! It would be awful to have tio start over! Good luck!

I've stalled on my bingo fics lately. Hopefully this week I'll be able to get going again. I've only been writing drabbles for the last three weeks.

I think they will as well. Thanks. I just wait for the technician to do his job. Hopefully, he'll do it quickly.

Thanks! I'm still managing to write the drabbles, 1 or 2 a day most days, occasionally 3. Dipping my tors into a second fandom too, because I'm insane, lol!

Thank you, M! :) It's a short, rather humouristic story about something I never thought I'd right, not liking the idea in general. Hopefully, I'll make it work to my own standards.

Cripes, I feel your pain! I have 2 laptops, an Apple MacBook and a PC netbook. I back both of them up to external drives. I used to use flashdrives but using a 3T external drive saves me a lot of headaches...here's hoping you didn't lose anything!

Oh my, I envy you. I only have a pc, and I hope to get a laptop soon. I work with flashdrives as well, but apparently is not working. I got a phone and everything is saved. Now I just wait to transfer my files.

I also had this problem recently. But fortunately I was able to make a backup!
and I kept all read or unread mails in my Hotmail box. This is not the case the other 2!
