I like this. In spite of all the anger and resentment and understanding who Jack is, he is still there and not pushing him away. We could all use someone like that in our lives. Good story. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you. There are times I like angst and drama and (for a whole) unresolved tension, but sometimes canon Ianto seems not to like it and to want to stay by Jack more than anything else.

We would be lucky with a constant presence like Ianto's by our side.

We first wrote The Truth Shall Set You a Free while in Wales. The first half was actually written right where it was filmed and the second half in a bar in Cardiff. Then there was the follow up Rise and Shine we wrote with an ocean between us.

Wonderful! I love Ianto's acceptance of Jack. I think he knows more about who Jack is than Jack realises - after all, he has the run of the archives and knows how to find things out, gathering facts and fitting them together.

He might not be terribly happy with Jack, but he understands enough that he won't send Jack away. After all, Jack was there for him when he needed someone, how can he do less than be there for Jack?

Exactly! Ianto has the ability to find some of the information Jack hides from him. But Jack hides so many things that would make anyone wonder. Not Ianto. He's made his decisions. I think your comment may fit brilliant at the next part of the series as well. :)
