Mycroft succeeded, Sherlock will always be all confident, fearless and bold. And he'll walk on walls all his life. And sometimes he'll fall. Damn.
Also, you have a wonderful dad! :-)

Atlin said that you'd find Reichenbach in here. ;)

I hope, I'll remember this little story when I'm afraid of something the nex time or when I see somebody being afraid.

When I was a little girl I caught garter snakes sometimes. They are so pretty! They are a lovely clear brown, like a river full of oak leaves, and they have two bright yellow stripes down the back. They are very shy and hard to grab, but I sometimes managed. Sometimes they bit me. They are not venomous, but still...
I ran into the house one day to show mom a snake handing off my hand, his teeth buried in the spot between my fingers and thumb.
"He's just scared." Mom said. "He thinks you are going to eat him. Go outside and put your hand flat on the ground. He will let go and run away."
She was right of course. It was not until I grew up, that she told me that snakes scared her. Just like your dad and the horse.

Can I, possibly, borrow that image of Sherlock and Mycroft and the wall? I'd like to make a somewhat obleque reference to it in one of the fics I'm working on at the moment (something like - it's just like walking on a wall, Sherlock - when Mycroft needs Sherlock to trust him)?
The fic might never see the light of day but this just went ping into my brain and now I can't get past it!
