This is day 10 of the Advent calendar filled with little ficlets, brought to you by days_of_storm and me. We will post in rotation, so you get a story by me one day and one from her the next day, right up until Christmas.
Apart from the overall Christmasy theme we decided to take over from where the other left off in her chapter so that there will be one story

Was it worth buying some for Mycroft, hoping to annoy him enough to maybe overlook the tiny tales that would give away their last minutes’ activity?
It would work with me. Cakes would not annoy me, they'd bribe me.
"Give me a cake and I won't humiliate you. I'll eat the cake instead. If it's a chocolate cake I may even look at you kindly." :D

Could he really do that? Wow. He must have CCTV in every pâtisserie or something.

Oooh, yum-yum. Except if it contains marzipan. If yours is the with-marzipan version you can keep on devouring it in peace. But wait, it's German. Deduction time! Do you force Anarion to supply you in German cakes in exchange for a bit of rest? Or for prompts? Shame on you, it's such a contemptible wonderful idea actually. Do you think she would do that in exchange for comments?

You don't need CCTV for that... Mycroft obviously knows all the patisseries within a ten mile radius of his office, and would know the exact reason they stopped because he's Mycroft... he's as bad as Sherlock only with a tiny bit of propriety of one sort or another... hehe

and anarion please, this was perfect. It was not too short or too long, and it was a perfect little interlude to finish the previous thought :-)
