He merely tried to be mature and sensible instead of selfish and rash.
Which led him to think that it was always better to be selfish and rash rather than mature and sensible. Good job, John. :D

Later Sherlock explained to John that if he'd see him being in love with someone else that because he wanted John to be happy, he'd be willing to let him go.

You know, when I asked you in a recent comment if you meant to write a 221B Advent calendar on top of this "365 days of 221Bs" challenge... I WAS JOKING!!! Gosh, aren't you ever tired? I'm in awe! And I'm very happy too because last year's calendar was lovely. This, and Atlin's Advent fics... I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!! :D

Wow, for once I think John is overreacting. It breaks my heart. I'm so used to John trying to understand and moving the relationship forward. I'm in shock. I need a blanket.

The "freezing" prompt is very appropriate today, with my heating buggered again.

Poor Sherlock - he tries so hard, bless him, and still gets it wrong.

I like this one - not least because there is a definite tendency (and I do it as much as anybody) to make John some kind of 'relationship guru' who never fucks up or over-reacts... it's always Sherlock who gets things wrong.

You make them both very real - great work!
