Why did you agree in the first place?

There has been a few people going around asking people to do their work (designing characters etc) for them, even one or two people asking if they can "borrow" the other person senshi. @_@;;

I hate people like that.

I sort of agreed.
And because I am deluted and like to believe people have more skill, talent and pride in their own work for it to be at least passible?

Wow, how pathetic.

It wasn't so much a true plea for assistance as much as it was a cry for validation and praise from an otherwise "complete stranger" whom "knew nothing about her," revealed only once you failed to bestow unending flattery upon her. Does this person honestly think their work was so damned good that to touch it was blasphemy? Got news for her: Her shit does in fact stink.

GawdDAMN people like that piss me off. Soooooooooooooo much.

A REAL creative person (artist, author, whatever) honestly seeking to improve looks not for accolades and butt-kissing, but should crave the criticism to help them make their end product the best that they can achieve. Even if they don't agree entirely with what the "criticizer" says, they still may have valid points worth considering as the artist progresses.

And that's what makes her a hack. But you knew that. Unless she is fourteen, as you suspect... then that just makes her dumb.

Dumb as hell.

Why doesn't she ask those mindless asskissers to help her then if she can't take any criticism at all? As if you'd owned it to her to help her create a senshi.

Reminds me of the girl I tried helping by telling her where the mistakes in her artworks were, only the be whined at. Heck, I even made sure to also always say something nice about the pics. Never mind that I was also the only person to read her stupid fanfic and write a comment. Or how she constantly would claim to give up drawing, but uploaded new pics three days later. And this girl goes to an art school, while I never thought I could be good enough to be accepted at one (I still don't). Sorry, got a bit ranty there.

LOL! Hun you dont need to be any good to get into art school. You just have to accept the fact that the teachers & staff are pretencious. As the old axiom says "Those who can, do. those who can't, teach." Art is a strongly opinion based course- not so much in that if you can do the assignments technicly well( which helps) but moreso that you give the teachers the egostroking they want, they give you a higher grade. Or that was my expirience. I didnt get anything out of it save that I can bullshit my way into sounding like I know what I'm doing. (Keep in mind I shelled out about 8 grand & the first 6 months we used nothing but construction paper, glue stix & colourwheels- and learned nothing I hadnt by grade 7. "To give everyone a equal understanding." is what they told us, even though you had to send in a portfolio to get accepted.) To sum: art school is highly overrated.

Sorry for the tangent Q- you had alot more patience then I would have. (I mean you were polite the whole time!)

That was hilarious. Ah, people who can't take constructive criticism shouldn't attempt to construct something in the first place.

God, I hate it when bad fanfic writers argue that it doesn't have to be well edited because it's "just a fanfic." It's like they don't respect their own work enough to try to make it look professional. But obviously they love their own work; they're just too lazy to execute it well.

I laughed way, way too hard at "and I kept fearing I was going to have to read "Mamo-cunt"."
