Why do you write fanfiction?

Me? I write it because I have an idea that I want to see come to fruition. I write crossovers, which I know will never happen, so in order to get to see it I have to write it.

So why do you write fanfiction?

Becasue noone else writes fic about the zoids i like. More fics need mechanical ostriches, painted yellow and driven by black obsessed madmen.

This is sad but, mostly I write pairings because I want to see those two people actually hook up. I write other kinds of fic though, but often because I love the characters and want to "know more about them" even if I have to make up what that is.

Then again sometimes nasty stuff happens to the characters I love in my fic. But these days I mostly write for Silent Hill where that only makes sense.
