Saturday's first Bledisloe test was a funny old game. The feed I watched had the aussie commentary (which was as hilariously casual as ever) and neither I nor they had too many problems with the refereeing. He was consistent, and it was only really the two yellow card recommendations from the touch judge that seemed controversial. Not wrong; just a little harsh, perhaps. Mind you, the number of dangerous tackles of that sort has been creeping up over the past few seasons.
The All Blacks looked dangerous and precise on the counter attack, and exploited the Wallabies' inability to win kick-off ball well. There was some odd reverberation associated with the haka and national anthems in the closed Melbourne stadium, which could be interesting for Dunedin.
