Well, sort of. And I'm talking about my compooter.

After much swearing and cutting of skin (not me or mine), the problem has been isolated to the video card. It seems that when the power supply detects something dodgy with the other hardware, it cuts off. Thanks to eirivan 's spare power supply, A played around with different combinations of hardware.

Yeah, 2 weeks ago right... I ordered a 24" monitor from Dell for $296...

I think atm, the cheapest deal for the same monitor is $450!!! MWHAHAHAHAHA.

For once my impulse buying paid off!!!

Btw, ur colleague got ripped if he paid $320 for "mid-range" aye... I'm sure you could get an equivalent replacement for your 8800gt for less than $200 (even with price increases). But dw aye, warranty should be ftw :D.

I'm probably underestimating the card. It's probably better than mid-range since it's for a gaming computer.

Still, the upwardly spiralling costs are bringing tears to my eyes.

Hahaha, got offered a graduate auditor position at the dept of the auditor general.

Hasn't been confirmed yet though, still waiting for the end of their 2 week appeals period (1 more week to go). But yeah, odds should be pretty damn good now aye? Hahahah. Can't wait to quit Woolies.
