As a result of working my ass off in Abstract Algebra all semester, I was very excited to be invited to a Math Department lunch for the top math students. You may think that I was excited because this was a validation of my hard work. Perhaps that was slightly true. But really, I was excited by the prospect of meeting dozens of math nerds...
