Interesting - I've never heard this as a song. I only knew it as a poem. I always liked it as a poem. Makes me feel all warm and squishy inside. So does The Holy and the Ivy. I LOVE that carol - the traditional version of it and some of the other ones as well.

i feel like this one is a lot...darker than the holly and the ivy, but, i do like it.

It is much darker. But darker in a good way - he forgets about his faith, like we all do at times, but is restored to it. I like a good restoration story!

i don't know that i've ever told you this, but i find it lovely you post about your bible study. i feel like people don't ever post about religion on their journals even if it's a part of them, because it's kind of a pc sensitive topic or something, which is silly since it's their journal...anyway ♥

thank you for saying this! i know what you mean about people not posting about religion. I definitely feel a kind of pressure not to, sometimes, but i fight against that feeling on every other topic, so i figure i should do it on religion too. no one makes you read my entries after all XD
