i just don't like them. or well the couple i went to in hs were ok, good points and bad points, but the one i went to in college was just not fun. the only good things were learning teh fight song and the food was better than the caf XDDD

well, i'll probably like these people better, as they aren't college students mostly all suffering from culture shock and home sickness XD

lkjksd the prospect of summer camp is never-ending horrible to me. You just...don't do it over here. Although I used to go camping via guides and it was ok? It is ultimately up to you whether or not you want to go, but keep in mind that camping is seriously unglamorous aksdj.

oh, it's not camping. neither is summer camp, you know. it's more like........boarding school, for shorter periods of time, and with more macaroni arts&crafts activities. and maybe a lake.
we'd be staying in lodges, with real beds, and centralized heating and i am pretty sure that no more than 2 people will be in my room (assuming i go) because the rooms have a max capacity of three, only two beds, and the camp has a total of 4 roll-away cots, which are being reserved for kids who want to stay in their parents' rooms.

I suggest you go to the church retreat because it will be good for you and whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger, etc.

however, I can never get these arguments to work on me, and I'm sure why you should be any different.

Maybe you could start small, with a less scary social activity wrt to church, and then go on a retreat? Although with social things I usually find, at this point in my life, that if I jump in I can swim. This was not at all o true back in the day ... (btw I didn't go to sumer camp either).
