i...you know. I'm not sure about the details myself. i assumed it was one of those bad END OF THE WORLD HUMANITY DIES EXCEPT FOR A HANDFUL TO HOPEFULLY REPOPULATE SOMEDAY IN THE DISTANT FUTURE kinds of things from the word 'catastrophe' and the immediate context.
