you said code switching! my roommate just wrote a paper on codeswitching between standard american english and "black english"!!!! she asked if next time she has to write a sociolinguistics paper, can she call you if she gets stuck? now i wish i could say 'i'm finna go to a party" but i think malika cancelled on me without telling me. as in, i think she went to the party she and i were going to go to without calling and telling me. grr
*huggles* I personally don't have much experience with code-switching (but i could refer her to tego..?) all i know is that there are like 8 gazillion different theories about what exactly qualifies as code-switching (as opposed to other things like diglossia, etc.)and why it happens. but she can call me~ i wouldn't mind and i am a dork.
Let me know if you want help coding. (or if you think it would even help to have someone else code - sometimes it just takes too long to look over what they do) Because I love doing it. I'm a freak, but it benefits you, so there.
