We're your posse?!?!?!? anamuan and the Sundance Kids. It has a certain ring to it...Very well, I accept!!! (and it's not like we sounded like drag queens on purpose! You make it sound like we tried. It was totally the tape's fault! Normally, I have an annoyingly grating voice and I tend to squeak and speak way too high when I get excited. If my voice is to be maligned, I want it to be maligned correctly, yo!)
Everyone else had like, soft-journalism style and were humorous and interesting. Mine was totally like. "Look! I fell out of a textbook!"Academicity does occasionally have its drawbacks. (Did I ever tell you about the academics_anon post where someone asked if there was a word for the quality of being academic, and someone replied that they thought it was "academicity" but that the word had all the aesthetic qualities of a giraffe tied to a hood rack. It made - and continues to make - me laugh. Hard

because if i don't read it all the way through, how can i come up with appropriately pithy comments? One must necessarily make sacrifices for one's art.
I did not malign your voice in any way and resent the implication that i would do such a thing without proper provocation. I simply referenced an incident in which--you cannot deny--all four of us sounded like drag queens upon playback. Esp. with wakikaki talking about her brother's girlfriend Allyn (sp?)
It's so true. We do suffer for our chosen obsession.
I can deny that we sounded like drag queens only because I've never actually heard a drag queen speak. But in my imagination, it's true, we sounded just like they would sound.
