Our Week Without Anna (thus far), you ask?
It's been good. Very good. Far better than expected, actually. Oh, I miss my girl, don't get me wrong, but instead of the over-powering, howling, junkyard dog grief I anticipated feeling, I've really only been plagued with random soft pangs, gentle and manageable as the nips of a big-eyed pup.
Sally has been great, sending e-mail updates and loads of pics, and Anna is obviously having a blast. Of course, this means our child will probably be bored senseless for a few weeks upon her return, 'cause there is no way K and I can possibly compete with the extravaganza of attention and activity that is Camp Grandma & Pa!
