I love your take on this. You've hit on, I think, the very soul of what a lot of people believe LJ is about: THE DRAAAAAAAAAMA!

Plus I'm trying not to laugh loud enough to wake up the neighborhood ;)

Heh heh, I like this. Too true. I've always found the "I'm going to make a friends cut, comment if you want to stay" posts particularly classy.

heh, yeah, I'd almost forgotten about that. Maybe I should edit my entry :)

Maybe I had a better introduction to LJ than most... I've never felt it was a drama factory. Then again, I don't have 873 people on my friends list, I don't add people out of a feeling of obligation, and I don't really care if people read or not. It is nice when they do, but not necessary for my own self-worth. It's just my place to babble and I'm too lazy to write entries by hand. I've made some fantastic friends here- friends that I can contact outside of LJ if I have something I want to talk about in more than just a post.

I can't imagine what kind soul pointed me in the direction of LJ... ;)

By the way, blue is preferred.

I've managed to stay away from the drama, for the most part. But I must admit to feeling a twinge or two when I get cut from someone's list. And I've seen it turn into a big drama-fest for more than one person -- which I must confess to not cari... er, understanding.

Whoever that person was that pointed you in the direction of LJ (and pushed) must have thought it might be a useful tool for you, just as it is for him.
