perhaps. money is running out, though; we talked about that. I want to do as much of it myself as I can.

At any rate, there's not a whole hell ofa lot keeping me in Austin, other than 20 years, a house and a decided lack of money to move.

John -

What a great vacation you are having. I'm thrilled for you that it is working out so well.
There is something to be said about getting away from the usual stressors of our every day
life and routine. Maybe it is time that your family made a change to a new location. In a sense,
a fresh start. Sometimes I think that in our minds our "self doubt" magnifies itself and becomes
such a negative cloud. Soooo glad that the negative cloud wasn't overshadowing the good time
that you had on Saturday. Relax and enjoy the last couple of days in Washington.

I'd love to make the change. See above reply, though.

Oh it sounds beautiful.

I miss the Pacific coast.

Also, I thought I was the only one who knew Camouflage existed. o_O

oh, it is. It is. My words do not do it justice.

Why did you leave? Why not go back?

And no, I love Camouflage, along with several other similar bands. Does that date me? ;)

We were only visiting on vacation. We have friends there, but no family, and at this point for various reasons we don't feel comfortable leaving our family on the other side of the country to move elsewhere.

But we still plan on moving there, one day. Wandering up the north coast past Gualala and up into Garberville is one of my favorite memories. Walking through Humboldt Park. Scrambling down the embankments to see the sea off the highway. Seagulls the size of ravens! Even San Jose was lovely, for a major city. I wouldn't mind living there. The breeze off the sea, the climate, the smell in the air. And Napa broke my heart. Breathing there was like drinking ambrosia. You could get drunk off the perfume on the wind.

Expensive, though. And not the right time. But my heart is still there, somewhere, sitting under a redwood tree.

What other bands? :)

I'm cleaning out my inbox :)

Other bands like Depeche Mode, Flock of Seagulls, Cause & Effect, Adam & the Ants, lots of other bands. I have a weak spot for synthpop :)
