Me Me.. I do... I was in a job a while back where I had to be dominant pretty much 24/7. I was in charge of up to 120 first year students, and althought not offically in charge of 2 staff, they looked up to me like I was a boss/big sister/back up for any crisis. It how I earned the nickname 'Lady Heather' (from CSI) and my girls even gave me a riding crop for christmas

yeah it makes sense, and is fairly analogous to what I'm going through, I think.

I seem to have those same shifts from dominance to submissive. I view my life
as compartments. They include, work , family, social life (lack thereof), interests, etc.
I tend to have a dominant personality at my job due to the general type of work that
I do. I also feel that a trait of dominance comes out when I clam up or shut down, when
with family... do I want to be this way in any compartment, no. Being more
submissive sometimes makes me feel more vulnerable. I seem to need to keep this
shell around me. I'm not sure that I appreciate my self created shell. Sometimes
being submissive gives me the feeling of just letting it all go, relaxing, being me....

A life of compartments. So it goes, with my thoughts.

Interesting that you posted above while listening to Everything But The Girl. I just put that
