Does your doctor's office have a nurse hotline or anything you can call? Some place where you can call and say, "Hey, these are my symptoms, I'm not sure if they're severe enough for me to come in, do they sound like anything that's going around?" and then ask if they can call in a prescription to your doctor if they think it's something like a sinus infection? That's what I used to do when I felt sick but knew I'd go in and they'd just tell me what I already knew or that I had a virus or something...usually they'll at least give you tips on over-the-counter stuff you can take to help the symptoms till you can get in for an appointment, so if you've got one of those at your clinic, maybe that might work?
You know, I'm not sure if they have a hotline. I've never tried that, but that's a really good idea. *_* Because just paying for the prescription is no big deal, it'd be the whole office visit that would get pricey, so... Yeah, I'll try that and see what they say! Thanks~ ^_^
Woah, I'm so happy that you found a good apartment!! And Pacific Heights should be a good area, too. :3
As for being sick, man, I'm sorry to hear that you're still not doing too well. D: I hear there are walk-in clinics in SF for people without insurance that don't charge nearly as high, but sadly, I don't have any real info about them. :X My recommendation is a steady stream of Cold Eeze.
Yeah, we're really happy with the neighborhood--tons of stores and restaurants and everything right there within about a 10-minute walk. XDDD
Yeah, I was thinking about those free clinics too, but then I figured I might get more sick sitting there for hours with a bunch of sick homeless people breathing on me. XD;; Thankfully I've been feeling better since coming back to MI though, so I think I'm going to be okay. *__*
Yeah, I've thought of that a few times, actually. That if only I was still traveling in Europe, this would be fine. XD;;; (But I do think I'm getting better now, so... Yay. ^_~)
I'm so excited about it! (Did you finish Torchwood, btw? *__*)
*tackles and hugs you tightly* I hope you get well sooooooonnn...
Can't really give any thoughts about your throat problem because I don't believe in any cough medicine. I usually take traditional potion made from red ginger *not helping*
Yay for finding a place! I think when looking for a place you either find something you like right away or it takes a little effort to find just the right one
( ... )
Yeah, with this search it felt like we saw all the weird/bad places first, and then 2 days into the search, all the sudden we liked everything a lot more, lol. ^_~ It made us wonder why we couldn't have just seen the last few places FIRST, since that would have saved us a lot of headaches. ^_~
I decided to give it a few more days, and I'm glad I did because now that we're back in Ann Arbor, I actually feel like I'm getting better. :D I was getting worried just since for about 4-5 days there was no improvement at all, but I guess it just needed to run it's course? My throat is feeling better now though (it's mostly just sore in the morning right after I wake up, and at night) so... I'm glad I didn't spend hundreds of dollars at the doctor. XD;; I'm relieved too, because I was so worried I wouldn't be okay for Otakon! But yeah, I think it'll be fine now. :D Thanks for the advice though~ <3 And I'll see you soon! :D
