Mou, that doesn´t sound good *pats* I just noticed that there are some snowflakes falling here, too. Ah, I wish it would be summer again or at least spring so that I can ride my bike again. I´ll keep my fingers crossed for you and hope you´ll get there and back safely!

I was completely covered in snow by the time I made it into the office, but... I made it. XD;;; Now if I can just get home, and get to the train station in time for my train to Liz's house this weekend, I'll be good to go. :D

...I'm seriously tired of winter too though. @_@

Is it bad there already. It's rainy-sleety here. Pretty gross actually. I'm doing a mock work at home day. It's just some overtime, and I'm done for the biweek so I'm not concentrating too much (clearly XD;;).

Usually when things like weather warnings happen, we're allowed to take liberal leave ...

Good luck with today (and have fun in Chicago)!

If I had to guess, I'd say there were between 5-7 inches out there this morning already, and it's still coming down really hard. XD;;;

I'm hoping (though I've heard that they hardly ever do this >_>) that they'll let us out early, if the snow continues. And it really is supposed to continue - the worst snow is supposedly this morning and this afternoon. So we'll see. @_@

Why do you need to have survival equipment in your car when it's snowing hard..? Do you live very far up north or is it some freak weather thing or something? It all sounds so terribly dangerous ( ゚ Д゚)

I mean, surely the snow isn't just left on the roads where cars drive?

I guess it's just for if you get stuck in the snow and... have to wait a long time for a tow truck or something to come to get you? XD;;; I carry a blanket and an extra set of gloves in my car for that reason. ^_~

*laughs* XD;;; You would really think they'd be better at removing the snow, but... They aren't. :P Some of the back roads here still haven't been plowed from that snow... and it's been 4 days now. @__@

Do you guys not get much snow where you are? I thought it was cold there. XD;;

Yeah, it tends to be pretty cold here what with the country being located directly below north pole and all XD
Seriously though, it's only Lapland and generally the north that has the whole arctic winter thing. I live in the capitol on the south coast, so while daylight is scarce and it's definitely winter here, it's not that bad ;)

It's just that snowstorms don't usually cause a hassle here, since during the season the roads are treated with salt, ploughed all the time and every one is required to use winter tires from late fall to spring. So while you may have to occasionally tread through knee-deep snow on the sidewalk (only if it's after a really bad snowstorm and so early in the morning the sidewalk hasn't been cleared yet, to be fair), the roads tend to be pretty safe. So you get used to the roads being ok no matter what the weather and it sounds scary as hell when someone says they were forced to drive in a blizzard on roads covered in thick snow just to get to work ( ̄□ ̄;)

Glad you're still in one piece btw (⌒▽⌒)

Okay, yeah, I thought you guys had at least as much snow as us! (If not more. ^_~) It sounds like you have much better road conditions there though. Here it really depends on where you live, which county, etc. Because where I grew up, in Pennsylvania, they were pretty good about the roads. It was only really dangerous if there was a lot of snow coming down quickly, and they weren't able to plow it fast enough.

In the city I live in now though, I rarely see snow plows, even in really bad weather. >_< The other night we went out, and there were maybe three inches of snow on the ground, but because it hadn't been salted/plowed at all, it was so dangerous and icy, we just turned around and came back home. I was so mad about that, I actually wrote an email to the city roads department, asking why they don't do more to make it safe. XD;;; But yeah, it's really a problem here, I think. @__@
