A sonnet, not so, eh.

Evidently this is what my brain does when it wants to avoid homework. It's too bad it didn't want to be written in iambic pentameter. Then it would have been my only real sonnet ever. I still kinda like it, even if I did fudge one of the rhymes ( Read more... )

It's still quite pretty, even if it's merely sonnet-ish. ;-)

My handy guide to Iambic Pentameter: If you can sing a couplet to the first two lines of Mozart's Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, it's Iambic Pentameter.

Well, in this instance in particular, it's not in iambic pentameter because the first line has been bouncing around in my brain for 4 years or so and was not inclined to let me monkey around with it for the sake of form.
