Happy 2017 LJ-ers! How was your holiday? I hope you had a good one. Mine was a quiet one with family and friends. I had a whole week off work and I'm starting 2017 feeling very well rested and ready for what the year might bring.

I really enjoyed reading this year's Yuletide stories.

It's such a good book! How are you these days?

I'm all right! 2016 was a rough year, but on a personal level 2017 seems to be looking up (although of course in the large scale 2017 may very well doom us all). How are you?

I'm sorry your year was tough. Have you recovered? 2017 better be good to you! ...It would be nice if 2017 was a good year for the world at large too.

I'm good. I had some rough patches in 2016. I decided at one point that I could work three jobs for a while - terrible idea! I learned some valuable things about my limits and now I'm back to two, medical secretary and piano teacher. Both make me happy. What kinds of things are you up to these days? Is there anything in particular you're looking forward to in 2017?
