What The FUCK!

This format change is such bullshit. Things I care about are hard to find, things in which I have no interest are even more in my face (top blogs, anyone? I do NOT CARE about celebrity gossip blogs or stuff in Russian!) -- speaking of which, it now says "my blog" instead of "my journal." This pisses me off. All of it. Fucking LiveJournal. Grrrrrr. I never use my front page. I just tab to my friends page and whatever I can do on the front page I can do here.

Without your post I would have never known there was a change.

I found it very useful for tracking comments and also for seeing that there are new posts on communities I don't like to keep on my friends feed. Those two functions are now buried somewhere else. Also, the whole menu of things I used for navigating LJ (list of items down the left hand side of the page) is GONE and now I have to scroll through drop down menus and all kinds of white space to find them. *sigh*

Yes, my LJ bookmark is set to my friends page, too, but . . . ugh.

Also, the page upon which I am responding to your comment has HUGE swaths of white space and those stupid roundy corners on everything. I liked the comments page the way it was.

I read everything with style=mine which I think you can set in settings. Except from the LJ app which is different again

My FRIENDS page is in my style, but everything else is completely fucked, and I do not think I can change any of it. I will try hunting around to see if I can . . . but the menus are NOT the way they used to be so I may or may not ever find anything ever again.

Random LJ'r, found your journal through The Question Club. I have much the same GRRRR in my most recent post, done just a few minutes ago. And VERY MUCH AGREE - we JOURNAL here, not blog. That is an important distinction! It is good to see another person who saw red at the idea of having their journal called a "blog." (My irl friends don't get why it upsets me.)

I opted out and returned to the old style since I can't even login on the ipad. Obviously didn't test all the functionality first before launching

I saw some comments about this "opting out" thing but I don't think I can opt out, for some reason. At least, I haven't been able to find any way of opting out. *sigh*

I hate all the changes. The last thing I give a shit about is what is going on in the ONTD community.:/
