It's not the breed, folks. 
I have my 3, well-fed, warm, loved, good dogs, and I would do anything to keep them safe.  Then I think of all the others right here where I live who have no warm bed, no good food, and nobody to love them.
It causes me daily pain;  if I could only do more.
