I watched your first tentative steps into that virtual bar and recognized a kindred spirit.

You helped me make the entry into this place.

I watched your amazement at finding Michael and your devastation at his loss. I watched your first shy steps in the dance of life and love with Paul. In all of those times, you always had an encouraging word or a kind thought to share with those you felt deserved it. You scolded people who deserved it but you never lashed out to harm them. When they crossed your personal boundaries, or tried to tell you how to live your life, you did slap them either down or away and refused to be squeezed into their perception of who you were and are ( ... )

Just to note, never doubted you'd find your way back to being yourself eventually... and figured that Paul would be there.
Why? 'cause I know you, and what I knew of him was enough to be sure.

Sometimes the limitations of words frustrate me. I read this and I just want to hug you and then hug Paul and then hug you again. You are BOTH such good, lovable people and I'm so glad you have each other. It is such an honor to warm myself by the fire of your affection.
