Pulling out the big guns

There are some recipes that are good. There are some that are less than good.

And then there are those that are lethal.

This is one of them.

Bailey's Irish Chocolate Mousse )

It very nearly did, but there are behind the scenes issues currently being worked out...:-/

You'd like this--very velvety and light, and because the recipe is designed to make enough to fill a cake, putting two cups between each of two layers and covering the whole thing, it makes a ton if you just want to fill ramekins with it. Dinner party recipe, definitely.

Ohmygod.

Okay, that is getting made tomorrow. Before I strike preggers and have to be very careful about alcohol.

It's a little labor intensive--10 minutes turns out to be a long time when it involves keeping a mixer going in a bowl of eggs--but really worth the tedium, because the result is FAR from tedious...!

Oh, I know.

'Course, I'm gonna make it now instead. :)

Oh lordy, there goes more poundage to the hips.

But it will go nicely into the chocolate candy bowls I have made and stored in freezer. A little whipped cream topping and drizzled with raspberry sauce, yummmmmmmmm

And you know, now you have me wondering what the mousse would be like frozen....

HMMMM not sure, would it collapse? I know some things turn to mush once frozen, but having the whip cream in it , it may not.

Trial & error..LOL

I don't think it would collapse, especially if it froze quickly enough. I think it would probably turn out like whipped ice cream...

Now I'm curious....
