I was already hungry. This made it worse. ;)

I always thought orzo salad had actual olives in it - and I despise olives with every fiber of my being. I think I could eat this one!

Orzo is the name of the pasta cut--you don't have to put ANYTHING in it if you don't want to! One of my favorite ways of eating orzo is hot with a little butter, a little parmesan cheese and some black pepper. It's also a good cut to put in soups.

You're probably thinking of Greek salad, which is often made with orzo but is sometimes just cucumber, olives, feta, tomato...

I like olives, but in moderation, but this recipe doesn't even call for them (although you probably COULD throw some in and it wouldn't hurt it and WOULD make it more traditionally "Greek"), and I love it.

The wine was amazing--very sweet, almost raisin-y, very much a dessert wine, but with the grilled fruit and ice cream it was just incredible.

Now I have to figure out where to find some more...!

Dolce.

I found a few bottles in a premium wine store about 45 miles from here...

I'm thinkin' it would be worth the trip.

I was in the Mt Hope winery this afternoon, and they have ice wine....I didn't even bother checking the price. :)
I ended up getting a bottle of honey mead, and a bottle of pear wine.
