I'm not complaining! Part of the reason I left Georgia was the summer heat. Plus I still have no AC in my upstairs, so I'm really enjoying the extended cool weather.
Remember two years ago when it was this cool well into July? I loved that. :)
Two years ago, right at this moment, I was anticipating my VERY outdoor wedding in ten days!
And the weather the week before was STINKING--humid, way too warm and showery. But the morning of the wedding, the day dawned clear and cool, with not a cloud in the sky....
Okay first of all - SCREW BOTH OF YOU. (good-naturedly, of course) It was about 95 degrees here today with a heat index of I think 285. NOT a good laundry day when you have to go to an un-air conditioned laundromat to do it. So I DO NOT want to hear you guys gripe about the cool weather. You suck.
Secondly... Belle, come on! Normally you have the decency to hide the yumminess behind a cut, and I try to steer clear of it! But you just HAD to post it right there in the open for all and sundry to see? I don't even LIKE asparagus, and I'm drooling. And what did *I* have for dinner? Leftover Hamburger Helper.
On a plus note, I did have a few spoonfuls of Ben & Jerry's Karamel Sutra for dessert. That was the highlight of my day. (Apart from the water war with the kids during bathtime.)
"You've reached The BellenPaul BednBreakfast. How can I help you?"
"Yes, I'd like to make a reservation."
"For how many?"
"Just one."
"Will you be bringing any pets?"
"Maybe."
"Okay, how long will you be staying?"
"Um... about twelve years?"
"That's fine. Your reservation has been booked. Please deposit $39,472 into your phone now. Additional charges will be billed to your room during your stay."

What's up with that?
I'm ready for grilling and salads and cold suppers...and I'm ending up making comfort food!
