it totally IS! maintaining any modicum of optimism in this world is just SO going against nature. it's fighting against the power of death itself.
and that is part of the reason why it is so difficult to maintain any optimism in oneself at all.

The good thing about it is that it does tend to take on a life of it's own, and once you get it going, you really can "fake it till you make it". The world tends to respond in the way that it's approached, and if you can just hang on long enough until the world figures out you're being sincere, then I feel like it gets a little easier.
But it's always hard, and it rarely comes without full consciousness of the creation of it, in every minute.
Plus, people think you're stupid, and that's not always fun.
If I could change anything, that's what I'd change about the world.
