went up to London this weekend to see Liz for her birthday; we went to the Royal Academy exhib. which was v. interesting. Saw giant blue egg by Koon. That man is truly great. I got a First :)

came to dinner, and talked for a long time about how great our tutor was. and i got very very drunk.

it's at times like this that i really feel privileged.

as well as quite unsteady on my feet. also.

so I saw the Dalai Lama yesterday in Evensong. He was very wizened. The President helped him down from the stalls. He looked extremely happy. The Dalai Lama paused for a minute and looked up at the carvings we have behind the altar and looked quite inscrutable before hobbling off. crossing off the last exam on my calendar, it feels absolutely wonderful :)

I've finished my first degree.

I'm older than I could ever have imagined D:

it feels incredibly anticlimactic to think that I've done about 60% of my degree and the other 40% is on the next few days.

I wrote one (I think) good essay which might be a 1st and one ok essay which is probably a good 2:1. Then I have another paper which is 3 essays, and one short answer paper. And that's it ( Read more... )
