I've never really liked Whole Foods much. The one near our house always has areas of the store that just smell horrible. It's been like that for years, and I don't know what it is. Have you ever considered joining a CSA? They might be kind of expensive, but then again I don't usually buy organic produce so maybe they are comparable. A quick Google search revealed this one; I've never heard of them but it might be something to look into. Supposedly in-season, locally grown produce kicks major ass. I will find out for myself soon as I just joined one.

When I lived in Los Angeles I used a service that wasn't a proper CSA, but very similar. I had amazing baskets of all organic produce delivered to my door every other week. Man, I was so spoiled with great fruits, veggies, squashes, berries. Macneil and I have looked into the one you linked to, and I know it would be worth doing, however the pickup time and location was not exactly convenient for us. We were going to try to do it anyway, but they required mailing a check to get started, and somehow we just never got around to mailing the check. Just the other day I was thinking that now that we are moving, we should check the pickup location and time for the location near our new place. Maybe it will be more convenient and maybe we will be more motivated to get that check mailed. If they only delivered to the doorstep like the service I used to use!

Haha, I was perusing the site and thinking that it looked SO much more convenient than the one I just joined. Mine only has one pickup location, and I'm really nervous about it because the parking situation seems like it will stink.

It looks like they have a pickup location near your future home, but there's a wait list for it. Maybe you could put yourself on that wait list and then pick up your food at a less convenient location in the meantime ...
