My birthday isn't until next Saturday, but the gifts are already coming my way. My presents so far have been highly functional and I'm thrilled. Sweet! I love my KitchenAid stand mixer. I've had it for 14 years - and I've never had a single problem. I've never made ice cream with it. Never occurred to me to try that. I would love to have the pasta maker attachment. I love that mixer so much that I bought a KitchenAid food processor a couple years ago. They make such great products. You're going to love your KitchenAid!

They purchased it through Amazon and it comes with a free attachment via rebate after I get the serial number off of the mixer. I have a choice of a grinder, a shredder/chopper, or a juicing attachment. I'm pretty sure I'll get the shredder/chopper because I don't have a food processor and I do spend a lot of time chopping veggies when I cook. I know they have a special attachment for ice cream, but I don't know yet if the ice cream can be made without the special attachment. I'm not sure I would really use a grinder much. I really only grind beans and the occasional handful of sesame seeds, and my coffee bean grinder works just fine for that.

I am really so excited!

Ooooooo a free attachment! Now that's something to get REALLY excited about! Those extras can be rather pricey.
