In all seriousness, I believe it is important for people to see this movie and I'll give a few reasons why. The book is the first in a trilogy called His Dark Materials. It is a story in the same vein as Chronicles of Narnia, only the language is much easier to read and while metaphor is used, Writer Philip Pullman puts them right out there for

Amen! Or... some less religious word. I'm tried of hearing about the controversy from the aforementioned conservatives. Anyway, I am going to see it on Saturday, and I am very excited.

i'm starting to think you and i are more similar than i first thought...

anyway, i still haven't reread the book. i'm not sure if i'll be able to read it before friday...i'd like to see the movie after i have reread it though. so um...yeah...

I read the book years ago, but I'm holding off on rereading it so that I can be at least partially surprised by what happens in the movie... and more willing to accept the changes that I KNOW will have been made.
