Golden Compass

In all seriousness, I believe it is important for people to see this movie and I'll give a few reasons why. The book is the first in a trilogy called His Dark Materials. Amen! Or... some less religious word. I'm tried of hearing about the controversy from the aforementioned conservatives. Anyway, I am going to see it on Saturday, and I am very excited.

i'm starting to think you and i are more similar than i first thought...

"...TALKING ARMORED BEARS!" --pretty much what i've been ranting about to my friends.

anyway, i still haven't reread the book. i'm not sure if i'll be able to read it before friday...i'd like to see the movie after i have reread it though. so um...yeah...

I read the book years ago, but I'm holding off on rereading it so that I can be at least partially surprised by what happens in the movie... and more willing to accept the changes that I KNOW will have been made.
