Title: No fresh paths Characters: Mitchell. Teal'c. Carter. Rating: PG Words: 1328 Summary: He feels like they never stop running. Notes: Potential spoilers up to Collateral Damage.
And yet, with the situation they've presented us with, all too possible.
One of the reasons I think I'm enjoying this season so much is that they have really set this conflict up to where the viewer doesn't always know how the hell they're going to survive this. Like The Fourth Horseman.
They've given us a truly formidible enemy for the first time in a long time, and there is a real feeling of suspense.
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed this! One day I think I want to write more light-hearted SG-1 fic (i have this idea of a series of smut vignettes where Teal'c and Cameron are killing time, waiting around for various things, dignitaries, functions, etc), but apparently, the time for that has not yet come!

It's true. I mean, the Goa'uld really became rather boring. 'Yeah, yeah, ok, they're evil, etc, yadda' is how I sometimes felt. But these guys are set up to be creepier, and yeah. I like the uncertainty of the season.
One day I will write some more light-hearted SG-1 fic (I mean, aside from the fairy-tale scene). I have this idea (really brought on by your comment about Cameron and Teal'c having to pass the time SOMEHOW) about writing a bunch of 'waiting around in various circumstances, having to kill time' smut fics.

*shivers*
Creepy and gritty and heartbreaking all at once.
