BWAH! This was *too* funny! Seriously, if I tried to quote my favorite lines, I'd end up quoting most of the fic.

I really enjoyed the way you used the 3rd-person-omniscient-storyteller voice to inject funny bits and pieces into the story. And how you managed to make the whole thing silly and kind of ridiculous while still keeping all the characters recognizeable as themselves.

I just adored O'Neill at the party. And Daniel, when Cameron makes him suit up. There are no words. I heart you.

And as a sidenote: yay for effective use of repetition/redundancy! It's smart, funny, and not at all obnoxious! I totally got that it was purposeful, not accidental, and I thought it worked really well the way you did it.

An example: It started off well. Teal'c arose, prepared himself mentally, and had the ceremonial bath. He donned the ceremonial robes, and presented himself at the ceremonial stage, and all was ceremonial and proper.

I heart that paragraph. Seriously. And I heart you all over for the rest. :)

*happy dance* Thanks for such detailed comments! I'm happy the repetition worked for you in the spot - yay! And the O'Neill part was fun to write, but I was nervous about it because I haven't written him before, and so it's great that you liked it! :D

Although, if you asked Daniel, he might tell you how most fairy tales - and nursery rhymes too - are a thin veil of fiction over morality warnings and dark undertones, but Daniel likes to talk too much, and we aren't going to ask him

Heee! Oh, that's adorable. Very cute and funny. Love the author's asides.

Kee! There's not enough good fic like this. Loved the humor, and of course, the retelling of a classic fairy tale in crack format. *grins* Thanks for sharing!

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!

Oh! Thank you so, so much! I love it to teeny, tiny, delicious bits! I must polish up my wild dance of fangirl elation.

I adore the 3rd person POV. The storyteller's commentary adds a wonderful touch and some truly excellent humor. I also really like the way you kept the voices strong, and even worked in a good character moment for Jack, whom I'm always liked. The gentle poking fun at the characters and cultures involved (the irony of a robe from the Asgard! Hee!) was just great.

Yay! I'm delighted you enjoyed it. And thanks for the prompt! It was really fun to write. I don't think I've ever done anything with the 3rd person POV, either, so it's excellent that it worked.

Stargate is great, but it is amusing to make fun of some of the silly bits about it sometimes. THanks!
