I won't click under the cut, as I haven't seen it yet (wait, why do I care about being spoiled?), but ... YOUR ICON! BRB, dying of the giggles.

Thanks for the review. Nothing would induce me to go and see it but it's nice to have some idea of what it was like! It's a really strange plot, undoubtedly.

It is a strange plot. It doesn't really bother me save the whole 'basically grooming a child for a particular person' bit. Mostly it's just silly.

I laughed out loud for about five minutes, reading your review! X-D Was forced to see #2 in the cinema and parts of #1 on TV. Never again. Not one more krona will I spend on that fandom.

hee, glad you enjoyed it! They're actually *really* good for playing drinking games if you really want to get drunk (we had only five rules and everyone was destroyed halfway through). And I guess, until this film, I didn't mind spending money on the films. Never the books, though!

I agree with you that chunks of this were really boring, and I think you're right that they failed on the tension. I agree with you on the dress too, the back was gorgeous, but I wasn't too sure about the front when we saw it.

Really interesting point about Bella's body. Of course, the thing about this franchise for all its faults and !?!?!?s, it points to how few films there are representing teenage girls' anxieties and fantasies out there.

I haven't read the books (although I knew what to expect re. the big plot points) so I didn't know to look out for Quil and Claire, which is probably a good thing.
