Karin is not used to things that totally defy her expectations. She's a smart girl - always has been - and in a family with a crazy, oblivious father, sweet, naïve Yuzu, and the on-and-off angsting brother, she has always felt like she was the practical one. She'd always been able to make sense of things.

But thisWithout doubt she loves her father, but she has never held him up as a shining example of sense or moderation. It never occurred to her that there might be someone very different hiding under his exuberance and his volume

I'm very glad! Honestly, the kids finding out about Isshin is one of my very, very favorite things to write (since it seems like we're going to have to wait awhile longer for it to ever happen in the series). I may have to do another response to the prompt soon, too!

I actually have to write this up for my Bleach series that I write, because everyone's going to visit Soul Society rand...Karin's reaction is going to be priceless, I think. But not as good as the reaction you had her have.
