You are SO lucky. I just got out of the dentist like an hour ago. I'm out of commission for the rest of the day, vegging out on my couch totally unable to feel my face or talk. XP Just waitin' for the meds to kick in. Heh.
And yes! WHEE! I'd actually written that awhile ago and just forgotten about it. Heh. The letter is giving me the most trouble for some reason. But! It'll get done eventually. Tee hee hee.
Do not worry about getting your wisdom teeth out. I had it done and it was a cinch. If at all possible (your ins. may not cover this,) be knocked out fully, not just numb. You won't feel a thing and you'll be relaxed so your neck, head and mouth won't be so sore afterwards as it takes a lot of effort (pulling, tugging) to get out four teeth. Then, make sure to ice your face with a bag of frozen peas (it conforms better to the contours of your face) and alternate sides. BUT, most importantly, take the meds they give you every 4-6 hours to keep the pain away. Don't use a straw the first 48 hours (no suction, or your clots could fall out, causing dry sockets...you don't want to go there...) and eat soft foods for a week or so. Mashed potatoes, pintos and cheese from Taco Bell, soft raviolis, soup but no eggs or rice the first three or four days and the particles get stuck in the holes. Good luck and don't worry, you'll come through it just fine. :)Ali
Just had it done this morning. It was uncomfortable, but not as bad as I had been expecting. And oh yes! *laughs* Definitely used the frozen peas. And meds. Ooh, actually it's about time to go take another dose now!
It's been okay so far - I had a delicious lunch of mashed potatoes and pudding. Hee.
Thanks so much for the encouragement! Going to the dentist always really freaks me out.
I bet you are relieved it's over. Just be careful with the newly formed clots. You don't want to disturb them. Also, not to sound like your Mommy, but your body has suffered a trauma, so rest and if possible take it easy tomorrow (maybe no work or school if that is an option for you) Rest will help you heal quickly and keep the pain at bay.
Now, go have nice drugged up Rayne dreams and maybe some plot bunnies will burrow into your brain and we'll all get a plethora of ficage as you heal. :)Ali
P.S., Arghhhh, darn you with your cliff hanger, I want to hear what Jayne's letter said.....
Oh, yes! So relieved. Heh. I'm trying to be careful, but I kept choking on my gauze. Luckily I'm on Spring Break this week, so I've got plenty of down time to heal. And you are quite right! Rest. Rest is good. :)
Hee. I do have a few ideas I could get to work on. Heh.
*laughs* I'm working on it! I actually just finished a rough copy of it - I just need to get it all fixed up and more Momma-Cobb sounding. ^^
Ooh, best of luck! Heh - I just got mine out Monday! It wasn't as bad as I was expecting (I was pretty scared), though I did end up sleeping for hours. Heh.
Oh, by "horror", I just meant that she was shocked - like she thought he was being ridiculous. Erm... yeah, she met his statements with horror as in she heard what he said and thought it was total BS and a totally stupid reason for not being with her. Heh.
