Awww! Jayne being all tender and wanting to show affection but not being able too! So cute!
Yay, clapping wildly! this was so cute and so in character for all of them. I could just see it unfolding and really, really wondered where Jayne was "lurking" as you know he'd be keeping an eye out for her when she was with the boring date guy (whom I kind of felt sorry for.)
I love this story and I'm so glad you're on a tear with your writing as there aren't that many new stories out there at the moment. I also love the bathtub one...can't recall the title at this moment, but that's a great one too.
I'm glad you liked it! Ooh, and very glad it's in-character. One of the reasons (aside from being lazy) that I didn't go further with this was because I was afraid Mal was a little OOC. I think I'll probably go a little further and show a small part of each of her dates, because I want to show Jayne's reactions, too.
You're right! There aren't many new stories. Le sigh. I was really, really hoping that maybe rayne_shippers would do something for Valentine's Day. (I was thinking of hosting another comment-fic thing, or maybe some sort of smut-a-thon or something. Heh.) Ahh well. Maybe somebody'll get inspired soon.
Is Bugchick still around? she moderates this site, at least I think she does and she comes up with some cool things, but we're out of time for Valentines Day. Maybe we should just throw something out there and see if it generates any type of response.
Also, I wish there was some way people could claim some of the unfinished fics that are floating around in space out there and have a "finish it up" deal where if the author can be reached and gives permission, people could wrap up some of the fics.
I'm currently reading over at Pretty Deadly and soooo may of them are unfinished (at least the Best of Rayne stuff) and, while wer'e on that topic, what is the deal with Best of Rayne? (I'll have to see what Greenowl knows about that)

I don't know! We haven't had a community challenge in a while, and we don't have '09 tags yet, either. I guess she's just busy. I think I will! Next fic I post (which will be either later tonight or tomorrow, depending - heh) I'll say something about a Valentine's Day thing.

Glad you liked the Mal and Simon bits. Those two amuse me. I got the idea - probably obviously - from the fic "She's Not Normal" (by mik109, I think), where Mal and Simon, instead of discouraging suitors, want to find her one. In that fic they pick Jayne right off the bat, though. Heh.
