I love this story! Your detail is amazing...the way you describe Rachel and her need for an unattainable level of perfection through the details of playing piano is really quite stunning. Furthermore, as a college student home for the beginning of summer, I've been dealing with the never satisfied comments made in passing from my parents for a solid two weeks now and feel an emotional connection to Rachel.

It's amazing how much pressure parents put on their kids - many without realising it. There's always that fear of disappointing them even when they reassure you it's all okay. I'm sorry you're going through that. I completely understand the situation you're in though. *hug*

I'm glad you like the detail. I'm a bit of a detail whore. I blame my slight OCD tendencies and my ADD. Lol. I hink it's also due to my overactive imagination that plays every scene out in my head like it's a movie. :D

I can see her being a really bossy and strict teacher but (and this may sound really horrible, and I don't think Brittany is an idiot) I think she'd be different for each person. Like her expectations for Brittany would be different to her expectations for someone like Santana and that would then determine the way in which she teaches - that, or I thought it would make for a cute scene in the fic. ;)
