This is wonderful! I've always wanted to like "Much a Ado About Nothing" but I never have because of Hero and Claudio. I'm so happy you made this!

P.S. Have you seen the British modern adaptation with Billie Piper as Hero? It's not the play exactly, and thus has slightly better ending.

Thank you! It's easy to get caught up in the Beatrice and Benedick quipfest, but the horrible treatment of Hero always irks me.

I recently did see the ShakespeaRe-Told version and while I missed the Bard's language the ending was particularly satisfying for me. :)

Such an amazing mix! And really I know it was supposed to be a comedy but damn Claudio did one too many dick moves to be forgiven. I always felt for Hero, especially at the time she would have had no choice but to marry him anyway since she would have been seen as damaged goods. I love your mix and that it gives Hero a sense of empowerment at the end, which I sorely think she needed.

Even while I was making the mix I knew in the back of my mind that the only way to really legitimise everything in the public eye after Claudio's groomzilla escapades at the first wedding would be for Hero to marry him at the end. (Particularly in that time period.) But that just means that Hero has to face the consequences of Claudio's shitty actions and he doesn't.

So screw historical accuracy; I want Hero to live happily ever after and she can't with that douchebag.

love this! i have always been of the opinion that hero deserved so much better because ugh that ass claudio. what he did to her, his reaction, and what he did after and what he didn't. every time i watch it WHERE IS THE APOLOGY TO HER she married him, it was to make all the ugly go away but really at that point i keep thinking after all that's happened there would be no happy for hero there. why would she even still want him.
