Ryan moved onto a 5x3 lot. He was able to build a small house with some basic furniture and he still had some money left.
(I don't know why I thought taking so many pictures of one room was really necessary.)
He doesn't seem too happy about the abode. Better get used to it, it won't be getting much more luxurious anytime soon.
But gaining his very first skill point apparently cheered him up.
After several sim hours the only living thing he'd met was the paperboy, and because he obviously really needed to meet some new sims (and was getting hungry too) I sent him to a diner.
He met a pretty girl named Ada.
She seems fun. Too bad they had absolutely no chemistry and Ryan was all "ewww" when I made him check her out.
Luckily Ada isn't the only pretty girl in town.
...but Ryan was not interested in the waitress, but, uh... her.
I'm glad her face isn't as bad as her fashion sense.
Her name is Lizzie. They seemed to get along pretty well.
But then Ryan got distracted by the game...
...and was completely oblivious to the fact that poor Lizzie was about to get robbed.
Or maybe he had it all planned so that he could offer to buy her dinner. He seems to think she's awesome.
Ryan: What?! Don't you think she's awesome?!
Okay. I admit, she can be cute.
The purpose of this picture is to show them ordering food (and not at all the fact that I happened to pause the game when someone was in the photobooth and I thought the flash looked pretty).
He has two bolts and a crush on her, so what can I do?
I suppose she is pretty cute. But those clothes and that hair need to go.
Their date was great. I still think Ada there would have been a better potential spouse, though (she's sporty and everything!).
And we end the first update with a view from Ryan's lot.
The reason for such a short update is that my computer's power supply is most likely dying. I've been experiencing random freezes, the computer has randomly gone to power-saving mode, failed to recognize my external hard drive, and yesterday while I was playing it started to make a whirring noise. I'm scared to start up the game again until I've figured out if it actually is the PSU that's faulty (and not something else) and replaced it. ARGHH.
