Because Robin never kills Guy, or he does it as a mercy killing. Not quite what I had intended, but I couldn't see Robin actually killing Guy in anger. Though, as I recall 1x13, maybe I should re-think that. Anyways. Character death, obviously.


He hadn't actually meant to do it, Robin realized in that moment after his blade pierced through leather and before it cut into skin and muscle and sinew. He had meant to show Gisborne that he could, but he wouldn't, because he was the better man. But then Gisborne had lurched forward when he should have blocked and Robin had been too intent on setting the point of his dagger at Gisborne's throat to see. And now it was buried deep in his chest, a hand's-breadth away from its mark. My mark, thought Robin, for grim triumph gleamed in Gisborne's eyes.
