My best ideas are random sleep-deprived inspiration.

While listening to music here, Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger by Daft Punk came up in the playlist...but where the lyrics should have started, my brain instead inserted Pocket Calculator by Kraftwerk. And it was awesome.

I just realized that the last movement of Dancing Mad is played on calliope...that makes it even creepier. o_o

Okay, so I just got and listened to two of R.E.M.'s newer albums, Reveal and Around the Sun. Overall, they aren't bad, but compared to their older stuff, they're rather disappointing. There's a few songs that I really like, like Saturn Return and Boy In The Well, and Imitation of Life is catchy, but the rest is just not very memorable ( Read more... )

After seeing Jason's band play last Saturday, and last night's kick of reading about R.E.M., I really want to start a band now. Unfortunately, appropriate musicians among my friends are few -- most of them can play instruments meant for a marching band.
