My house shook and everything--felt like I was in a vibrating chair, LOL.  My poor dog booked it off the couch and *still* hasn't settled *pets the puppy*

News is saying 5.8 magnitude... 1:51 pm

It was more of a "wait, did that just happen?" kinda thing--not terribly scary, because the same kind of thing happens all the time with the windy storms we get here, just.... odd O.o

And a 5.9 according to the USGS. That's sort of unusual for Virginia, isn't it?

We felt it in NYC, my kids txtd me that the house moved. Also I'd always thought that Manhattan was on bedrock why did we feel it?

I have no clue m'dear. I think it's really odd that there were two today though, this one and the one in Colorado!
