Welcome Back!

I loved this! Sherlock does have 10's ridiculous intensity, and Jack's movie star vibe. Add in a bit of 9's "just go away" look, and (if you're kicking it old school) 6's ability to be unbearably annoying, and it's totally workable. John's big heart means he can deal with all that and still love Sherlock, anyway makes him magnificent!
I actually found this story on another comm, and didn't realize right away that it was you. But the feel of it reminded me of you, and made me want to reread some of your work. So, I skipped over to your journal, and laughed and laughed when I realized you'd written this.

Well, thank you very much!
He definitely struck me as more 'Doctor' like than the old Holmes from the first moment I saw him, most likely the result conscious or otherwise of Mr. Gatiss' influence, lol.
It is up on AO3, (I hope that's where you saw it, I didn't put it anywhere else, *g*), and I'm really pleased that it still came across with my style, because with the exception of the handful of 'bingo' fics I've filled in, it's been a very long time since I set foot in the Whoniverse.
I am so glad you enjoyed it, thanks for reading :)
I can see that too, Mycroft in the doorway of Sherlock's room, watching disapprovingly as he uses the purloined sonic screwdriver to dismantle something.
I might write more for this, it could be fun, John simply has to have a trip in the TARDIS at some point I suppose, plus an encounter with a pre-mummy Jack to really confuse the hell out of him, given Jack doesn't age, lol. "Oh no, John, that isn't Mummy, he hasn't had Mycroft or I yet." *snort*

Great job not letting RTD make you crazy!
