This post a place for me to keep track of the books I read in 2018. Yes, I know I also keep track on goodreads blah blah blah. Feel free to skip this post, or you can share book recommendations, talk about your reading goals for this year or anything book-related.

My goal last year was to read 100 books, which I achieved. I read 133 books in 2017.Read more... )

Congratulations on being a reading ninja! 🎉🎉🎉

I'm going for a lowly 25 books this year but seeing as I read like 2 last year I'm not feeling all that confident.

My brother got me"How to Stop Time" for Christmas and I also received "In the Shadow of Blackbirds" from a friend.
Also i got a gift card for Waterstones so i bought "Caraval" by Stephanie Garber and "The Bear in the Nightingale" by Katherine Arden. When I was paying for them the sales assistant said she'd heard good things about both books and that they'd both been compared to The Night Circus (😍) so fingers crossed I picked wisely.

Thank you! I think you'll rock your reading goal :)

I really loved How to Stop Time. I have In the Shadow of Blackbirds but have yet to read it.

I really really want to read The Bear in the Nightingale. I've heard it's just lovely. I read Caraval early in 2017...I'll be very interested to hear your thoughts on it. I don't want to influence your reading experience by giving my thoughts until after you've read it.

I think I read like, 5 books in 2017. I don't know how you do it!

(Does Cosmo count as a book? That could up my count...)

Sure, why not? If audiobooks and comic books count. And goodreads has adult coloring books that you can track as currently reading/read/want to read.

Hahaha, amazing! I got a free subscription a while back, so now I can read it every month and pretend I'm cool.

That's an impressive goal! I managed to read 32 books in 2017, and I'm aiming for 35 books this year.

I'm reading All the Light We Cannot See and though it is fantastic, I can't bring myself to finish it...yay, reading slumps; time for a 24-hour readathon to cure it! :p The author is Anthony Doerr and it is eye-opening to the reality of war.
