I've had the first one for a couple of years now based on a rec when I didn't know what they were actually about I've regretted it ever since but I will give the first one a chance since I have it and I'm anal and don't like to give up on books if I haven't read at least half of it.

But I did learn an important lesson of knowing-exactly-what-it-is-you're-ordering even if the rec does come from someone you trust.

I've heard good and bad things about it. People who hate it and think it's the stupidest most drivel piece of writing ever. People who love it outright and thing it's the Bestest Thing Ever. And people who enjoy it in a cracky amusing way. I guess I'll see what camp I fall into when I get around to reading it. Right now I just scratch my head at the crazy fandom that surrounds it and go back to reading Harry Potter and laughing at the crazy fandom that surrounds that... ;-)
